Corporate Deposits Application For Global Bank

The client, a global banking powerhouse, wanted to create an application to manage Corporate Deposit bids for its South East Asian operations. Deposit bids data in the application database were matched against interest rates data in a massive financial products database. By combining the two data sources, indicative bid prices could be derived and successful bids could be matched against actual deposits. The consultant's role in the project was to lead the architecture and development of this new application using the following approach:

• Define the end to end architecture for a state-of-the-art, mobile first, Corporate Deposits solution
• Conceptualise the user interface for the entire application including search, data entry, updating and reporting
• Present the technical solution and achieve buy in from key business sponsors
• Lead the development using Angular 7, Typescript, C#, Web API Dot Net Core, Oracle 12, Bootstrap 4 and Font Awesome
• Extend the financial products database using Oracle packages to incorporate the new deposit bids data
• Implement security
• Integrate the mobile client into a legacy Windows Forms application and a Python based Stress Testing application.

By the end of the assignment the client had achieved its goal of implementing an application to manage Corporate Deposits and had leveraged its financial products database to achieve that goal.
