Supply Chain Development At Renewable Energy Provider

Project goal
Create a modern cloud based application for the supply chain of this exciting renewable energy company backed by cloud micro-services.
Project details
The task was to develop a Procurement application with a modern, self-service user interface, backed by a suite of micro-services that use Azure infrastructure.
The work included developing cutting-edge ReactJS applications for a polished, flexible user interface, and creating Azure Function Apps with Python, as well as orchestrating Azure Data Factory tasks to transition data from Oracle into Cosmos NoSQL. Additionally, Azure technologies such as Azure Service Bus, Azure Search, Azure Blob Storage, and Application Insights were utilized to ensure a robust and efficient solution.
Project outcome
The deliverables included:
- A modern self service application to requisition items for repairs and construction of major renewables project
- Azure Data Factory pipelines to transport data from an Oracle database to Cosmos
- Function Apps to provide the various micro-services
- Service Bus messaging to link the micro-services and to connect to and from the Oracle platform
