Project goal

Create and maintain tactical applications and provide support during the implementation of a complex General Ledger implementation for an international bank.

Project details

During this assignment the consultant provided an array of services which included:

• Creating tactical applications using Microsoft Excel and Excel Macros to automatically post entries from spreadsheets to the General Ledger
• Creating and delivering training courses to approximately 200 users on how to use the General Ledger reporting tool, as well as the hierarchical structure of the General Ledger
• Assisting users in inputting General Ledger transactions
• Providing assistance for the reconciliation of daily balances and profitability for financial products
• Solving technical problems for users with various financial systems.

Project outcome

The client was left with a greatly improved ability to control and monitor financial profitability and stability across its regions and products.
